Messaging Terms & Consent

Last updated: April 2026

How Our Messaging Works

When a customer calls a business that uses Job Leak and nobody answers, Job Leak sends a text message to the caller to help schedule an appointment. The customer initiates the interaction by placing the call. The text message is a transactional response to the missed call.

Consent

By calling a Job Leak-enabled business, you consent to receive a text message response regarding your service request. You may receive up to 2 messages per missed call: one initial response and one follow-up if you do not reply to the first message.

Verbal Consent Script

The following script describes the verbal consent flow used in our messaging program:

“A customer initiates contact by placing a phone call to a trade business that uses Job Leak. When the call is not answered, our system automatically sends one transactional SMS reply on behalf of the business to help the caller schedule service. The caller’s act of dialing the business constitutes verbal initiation of the conversation.”

Sample first message:“Hey, this is Mike’s Plumbing — sorry we missed your call. What can we help with? Reply STOP to opt out.”

Every first SMS identifies the business by name, states the reason for contact, and includes “Reply STOP to opt out.” Outbound volume is capped at one initial response plus, at most, one follow-up if no reply is received. No marketing messages are sent.

Message Frequency

You will receive a maximum of 2 messages per interaction. Job Leak does not send recurring, promotional, or marketing messages.

Opt-Out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent from that number.
